Kelly was murdered in Kokomo by Travis Funke. He hid the truth with lies of her running off with someone else. He is in prison for confessing but still remains silent of where she is. He says it is the landfill but there are reasons' the family does not believe this. if you have any information please call the state police in your area. Thank you .#Missing Kelly J. Armstrong – July 17, 2011 – Kokomo, Indiana (Howard County) - Status converted from a Missing Person to a Homicide Investigation.

Kelly went missing and it was learned that her boyfriend, Travis Funke, 34, gave statements that he killed her. He was charged with voluntary manslaughter (later changed to Murder) after police say he killed Kelly Armstrong with a hammer.

Kelly was reported missing in late September after family members became concerned about her whereabouts.

Funke told investigators, nearly 6 months later, that he killed Armstrong after a three-day argument over prescription pills, according to the probable cause affidavit. He said he fell asleep on the couch and awoke to Armstrong hitting the couch with a hammer. Funke went on to say he thought Armstrong hit him with the hammer, knocking him unconscious, and he had blurry memories of hitting her in the head with a hammer. At the time, he said he thought it was a dream.

Armstrong’s body was put in a trash container by the road and picked up a short time later was his “confession” according to police reports. Kelly’s body has never been located.
