Song Sok went missing July 13, 2014 from Travis Lake in Austin, Texas#Missing Song Sok - since July 13, 2014 - from Travis Lake; Austin, Texas

Age at Time Missing: 20 yrs old
Year of Birth: 1994
Other: Student; University of Berkeley
Hair: Black Styled: Short, cropped
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'6"
Weight: Approx 135 lbs
Clothing last known wearing: White shorts
Languages: Khmer, English

Police Agency: Travis County Sheriff's Dept, Det. Sylvia Leal, at (512) 854-3426, 9-1-1, or your local police.
Case # 14-17645

Circumstance: Song Hy Sok, 20, disappeared on July 13, 2014 in Austin, Texas.

He was on a summer internship, and he, along with other co-workers, took a weekend trip to Lake Travis in Austin. According to media reports, and family, it was stated to police that Song and another co-worker jumped from their rented boat to cool off in the water, around 6:30 pm. Shortly after it was stated that Song became distressed and those on the boat, all swimmers, panicked and nobody could rescue him. His body has never been found.

His family has paid for a professional dive team from Florida to search the 90-feet (in depth) lake. One officer reported to media that he did not believe the location given to officers, by the co-workers, as the accurate location he dove in, as no trace of Song exists under the water in that area.

Mysteriously, Song's Facebook page disappeared in September 2014. He is extremely close with his family and a brilliant young college student who is well-loved by many. His family is distraught and question why others are not helping nor meeting with them from those last with him?

Police and family ask if anyone has information, or if you are in the Lake Travis waters, please report any odd findings right away.

If any SAR Teams have specialized equipment and willing to donate their time to search for Travis, please contact LostNMissing Inc. so that we may arrange to have law enforcement approval for further searches.

Please take a moment to learn more about Song, in his words...his interview. A loving son, brother and friend to many. A brilliant young man from the University of Berkeley who is missing, and presumed drowned. Help us , help his family with needed answers. From the family and the team at LostNMissing Inc.

Song Sok went missing July 13, 2014 from Travis Lake in Austin, Texas

That is so incredibly sad my heart cries for her family and friends I don't know how people can do that to another human being unless they're a monster

Heartbreaking. Hope they find her loved ones so she can rest peacefully. Please let them catch who did this.

Could it be Ruth Michelle menchu. Same weight height and around the same age. It's on the Harris county sheriff's office website. But then again wouldn't they know that if it was her. The pic of on the HsCO website isn't a really good pic.

Sharing this in the tri-state area(NJ/NY /PA) I have acquaintances and friends that live in the southern states and Latin America so hoping they share so we can help her finding her identity and justice.

So so sad. I hate the idea of her family finding out this way. I pray they find her family and the people responsible. I'm so sorry for her family's loss.

I can beleive her family wouldnt be looking for her. Familys arent really families no more. They probably think shes ok cause she probably dont live at home. She probably dont talk to her family. Families wake up call your children just to check on them. And tell them ypu love them. I hope her family calls looking for her

Shared in New Jersey, prayers for her love ones....Rip.......so terrible sad.....sooo wrong, this is someone's child. Please help.

Omg!!!! WTF is wrong with people how could anyone do such a thing. This just breaks my heart. 😢 I hope they identify her soon bless her soul.

So sad. People are just so evil. To think that we live amongst these types is scary.

This just makes me so angry that people are so cruel and heartless. Praying you find out who she is.

All surgical implants have ID numbers and I have an ID Card that I carry to show I have an implanted knee joint ,, so I can show TSA or others if I have to pass through a metal detector ,,

You have to be pretty savage to do this to another human being. Shared.

Shared in Malone Texas

Has anyone checked the area tattoo parlors. It's possible an artist may recognize either the work, or the artist of the work. Then you might be able to get an id.

How in the hell can somebody do this to another human being... I pray that they find her family and the piece of crap that did this to her!!

Shared in MD. God please be with her family and friends and help her killer come to justice

As close as it is to the border, makes you wonder if she is of Mexican descent or from there.

Implants can be traced!

Someone thrown away and burned like a bag of garbage. 😡😡😡 Lord, give a Voice to the voiceless!

Her implants should have numbers on them that will identify her

Could they go around and talk to local tattoo artists and who owned the garage

Is it possible to get her fingerprints using rehydration? Or using enough pieces of one to find a match?

It doesn't look like the tattoo was professionally done. Poor girl. 🙁

What is the tattoo of exactly..just a design?? Hard to tell

no on deserves to be treated that way. Savannah.

Wow I am working on West Harding right now at the Uresti house...I'll check it out...

Shared in Maryland,N.Y. Praying they identify her for her family to get closure.

I certainly hope that they are able to identify her and give her family closure.

Shared hope they find out who she is so family can have closure
